Tips when driving from Tarkastad to Glen Roy Farm:

  • Your first 10kms leaving Tarkastad will be on a tar road, however the remaining 25kms is on a country gravel road where condition depending allow for max speeds of 40 -60 km per hour - please allow for extra time.

  • For those of you staying at Blanco Guest Farm the turnoff is on the right hand side as soon as the 10 km of tar ends (44 southbound to Bedford/Adelaide).

  • Long distance travelers should travel via Tarkastad town (mostly Tar Roads). Google Maps and other sat nav’s often suggest shorter routes with significantly longer periods on gravel roads (these mountain pass roads require 4x4 or high ground clearance vehicles and will take significantly longer than suggested by your device).
